Cone Dribbling (Soccer)

A soccer skill drill where you dribble a ball through a line of cones. Improves close ball control, foot speed, and the ability to change direction with the ball.

How to do it

  1. 1Set cones in a line about 3 feet apart
  2. 2Dribble through using small, controlled touches
  3. 3Use both the inside and outside of each foot
  4. 4Keep the ball close to your feet and your head up as much as possible

Common mistakes

  • Taking touches that are too big, losing control of the ball
  • Only using one foot or one surface
  • Looking down at the ball the entire time
