Stickhandling Course (Hockey)

A skill drill where you navigate a puck or ball through obstacles using a hockey stick. Develops soft hands, puck control, and the ability to handle in tight spaces.

How to do it

  1. 1Set up cones or pucks in a line or pattern
  2. 2Keep hands away from your body, soft grip on the stick
  3. 3Move the puck side to side with quick, controlled touches
  4. 4Keep your head up — use peripheral vision to see the puck

Common mistakes

  • Gripping the stick too tightly, reducing feel
  • Looking down at the puck the entire time
