Wall Passes (Soccer)
A partner or wall-based soccer passing drill practicing the give-and-go combination. Develops passing accuracy, first-touch control, and movement off the ball.
How to do it
- 1Pass firmly to your partner or wall with the inside of your foot
- 2Immediately make a run into space after passing
- 3Receive the return pass with a soft first touch, keeping the ball close
- 4Alternate feet and practice at increasing speeds
Common mistakes
- Standing still after the pass instead of moving into space
- Using too much power for short-range passes
- Poor first touch — ball bouncing too far from the body
