Battle Ropes
A conditioning tool where you create waves in heavy ropes anchored at one end. Delivers intense upper-body and cardiovascular training simultaneously.
How to do it
- 1Stand in an athletic stance, one rope end in each hand
- 2Alternate arms rapidly up and down to create waves
- 3Keep core braced and knees slightly bent
- 4Maintain wave amplitude all the way to the anchor point
Common mistakes
- Standing too upright and losing power from the legs
- Making waves only at the hands — they should travel the full rope
- Holding breath instead of breathing rhythmically
