Goblet Squat

A squat variation where you hold a dumbbell or kettlebell at chest level. Excellent for building squat depth and keeping an upright torso.

How to do it

  1. 1Hold weight at chest with both hands, elbows tucked
  2. 2Feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly out
  3. 3Sit hips back and down, keeping chest tall
  4. 4Drive through full foot to stand, squeeze glutes at top

Common mistakes

  • Letting elbows flare out wide
  • Heels coming off the ground
  • Rounding the upper back
